Democrats 66 (D66) is a social-liberal political party in the Netherlands formed in 1966 by a group of politically unaligned young intellectuals, led by journalist Hans van Mierlo.

The party's main objective is to democratise the political system, reform politics, create a broader social-liberal political programme, tackle climate change and improve education. The party is also pro-European and believes in further integration across the European Union.
