Talent Agent

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Talent Agent to join one of the UK's most exciting new PR and talent agencies.

Your number one priority will be to identify and secure paid work for our roster of both established and up-and-coming talented actors.

 

You will labour to find jobs for clients by reviewing production notices and working contacts to investigate new projects that are in development, and attempt to set up auditions or meetings with the casting director, producer or director.


We see our clients as our friends, so you must be the type of person who is ready to totally dedicate yourself to getting the best for your clients, no matter what. You will join an agency dedicated to its clients, no matter what. In other words, that means this job will often require work long, unsociable hours and out of office hours. Workloads may be stressful, but always rewarding!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilising contacts to secure regular work for clients in TV, film and theatre.

  • Secure positive and paid media coverage for clients.

  • A first-class knowledge of allocated content partners, artists, rosters and marketing campaigns to inform decisions.

  • Day to day relationship management of accounts; continuously developing relationship with artists and their teams.

  • Attending events with clients.

  • Managing label relations at original content shoots and continually informing the production team about opportunities and updates

  • Communicating effectively with content partners to ensure timely acquisition of video premieres, album release plans and all campaign bookings

You must have:

  • Good relationships in the UK and Ireland TV, film and theatre industry.

  • Experience in securing paid work in the TV, film and theatre industry.

  • Experience of using casting sites – Spotlight, IMDb Pro, Mandy, Backstage etc.

  • A team player attitude with a flexible and dedicated approach to your work.

  • Experience of negotiating contracts

We would love for you also to have:

  • Good contacts in the PR, media, magazine and tabloid industry.

  • Strong talent and celebrity industry experience.

  • Existing relationships with key industry players across TV, theatre, film and in the media.

  • Experience working across digital campaigns, video promotion and print marketing.

  • A good level of creative skill – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Google Docs / Drive etc.

The successful Talent Agent will receive:

Senior Political officer

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Political Officer to join one of the UK's most exciting new PR agencies.

Your number one priority will be to identify and secure meaningful press and media coverage for our roster of both established and up-and-coming public figures ahead of a critical set of UK-wide elections in May 2021.

 

The primary responsibilities will be to ensure that our clients’ media relations are delivered in a professional manner. You will be expected to demonstrate an ability to understand and promote political positions and policy; build credibility with journalists and commentators; work quickly and accurately under pressure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Timely drafting and distribution of reactive lines to breaking news and issues of the day

  • Identify issues that get cut through in media and build proactive stories to generate media coverage

  • Produce pro-active media initiatives

  • Alerting clients and staff to significant news stories

  • Maintaining the news content on the websites of clients

  • Seeking opportunities for and filling broadcasting bids for radio, television, newspapers and online media

  • Drafting articles for clients

  • Assisting with clients’ promotion on social media

  • Taking photos and videos of clients at events

  • Accompanying clients on UK visits when a media presence is anticipated

  • Working with other staff to ensure clients are fully briefed before media appearances

  • Providing on-call cover at the weekends and in the evening as part of a rota

  • Developing a professional working relationship with relevant political and specialist journalists

  • Representing the views and outlook of clients to journalists

  • Maintaining an up to date distribution list for journalists, third party groups and other stakeholders

  • Supporting clients at conferences and other events

  • Working with other staff and clients to develop and implement a media strategy

  • Maintaining an overview and awareness of political and policy developments in areas relevant to clients and clients’ opposition​

You must be:

  • A strong communicator

  • Able to achieve cut-through in local, regional and national media with unique and creative stories

  • At ease with large and often unpredictable workloads with a good temperament that allows you to deal with the unexpected

  • Able to extract information from public organisations and Government reports

  • Well organised and able to work without supervision in a challenging and unpredictable environment

  • Able to show a willingness to innovate, experiment, and share best practice

  • Always thinking of new and unique ways to make headlines and gain coverage for our clients and their work

  • A team player with a flexible and dedicated approach to your work

We would love for you also to have:

  • Good contacts in the PR, media, magazine, broadsheet, TV news and tabloid industry.

  • Previous political experience

  • Existing relationships with key industry players

  • Experience working across digital campaigns, video promotion and print marketing.

  • A good level of creative skill

  • Experience using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Google Docs / Drive etc.

  • Experience using Mailchimp, Nationbuilder, Kantar, Connect, Forward Planner or other similar systems.

The successful Senior Political Officer will receive:

Notes:

The role will require extensive work with public figures and politicians from the UK Liberal Democrat party. You do not need to be a member of the Liberal Democrats but you cannot be a member of another political party, but you must sympathise with the aims and values of the Liberal Democrats. You should have sound political judgement and understanding of the current political climate in local government, councils and seats up for re-election in 2021.

This role does not preclude voluntary political work for the Liberal Democrats.
